Intramural Sports are available for the University of Idaho campus community to participate in structured activities at a competitive or recreational level. We offer team sports, individual and duel events as well as leisure events. Entry forms need to be filled out for each event, and they are available a week before the event at the Campus Recreation office as well as the Student Recreation Center.
If you are new to the University and are looking to join a team but do not have enough people to form a team, stop by the Campus Recreation office and sign up as a Free Agent for the sports you would like to play. To see the list of events click the Fall or Spring Intramural Sports schedule on either side of this page.
Intramural by definition means "within the walls" so all teams/individuals that participate are affiliated with the University of Idaho. Teams are often formed by living groups (resident halls, Greek), by student organizations, high school friends or within academic departments. No matter what your skill level you will have a good time.
Who is Eligible to play Intramural Sports
Current student, faculty or staff members at the University of Idaho are eligible to play Intramural Sports. There is an additional fee for spouses who would like to participate in Co-Recreational sports. All participants need to have a completed waiver on file to participate. Waivers are available on line, at the Campus Recreation Office, and at the game sites.
Competitive vs. Recreational Division
Competitive divisions are designed for those teams which are somewhat competitive in sports skills and strategies, and/or are motivated to play competitively. Recreational divisions are designed for those teams who desire to play in a more relaxed atmosphere, and/or are not as highly skilled or of a competitive nature.
