Facility Attendant -
Student Recreation Center (SRC)
|
Duties: Ensuring the safety of patrons and equipment in the SRC recreation/fitness facility. Checking ID’s, giving facility tours, issuing equipment, selling memberships and other products and services. Equipment and facility cleaning including laundry duties.
Requirements: Minimum of 1 calender year employment commitment. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, move around and within equipment including: squatting, kneeling, and climbing on stools and ladders. First Aid, CPR, AED required within 3 weeks of hire. Starting wage: $7.25 hr

| Climbing Center Staff |
Duties: Climbing center staff are responsible for the daily operation of the climbing walls in the Student Recreation Center and the Adventure Education Facility (AEF) in Memorial Gym. Staff members work open climbing times as scheduled, facilitate special groups, deliver belay tests, and instruct basics clinics and other skill clinics when scheduled.

| Sport Club Safety Attendant |
Duties: Campus Recreation provides safety attendants for all sport club competitions held on the UI campus. Safety attendants are first responders and provide first aid in the event of an injury. Shifts are generally 4-8 hours on weekends.
Requirements: Must possess advanced first aid/CPR certifications. Starting pay is $9.00/hr, applicants with EMT or Sports medicine training receive $10.00/hr |
